Super friendly downtown bar and grill, with a wrap around patio that's the perfect spot for a beer (or two) with friends, or dinner with the family. Definitely ask your server about what they are serving from the smoker they have out back. I got the ribs and they were the best I've had in a while. Five hours on the smoker and served with a good portion of coleslaw and fries. A friend had the birria tacos which were also excellent.

Todd and Erica Utikal first I must take a moment to say thank you for such an amazing 85 Birthday celebration held at Sidetrack Bar + Grill for my mother in-law. Our party of 24 guests and letting us do a pre dinner mockup to make it perfect was beyond gracious. Everyone that attended were all saying how wonderful Sidetrack is and the Birthday party was perfect in every way. You have a hidden gem located in Downtown Pleasanton and for all that read my Yelp you need make it your next stop for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. The only negative thing I can say about Sidetrack is you are closed on Tuesdays. From the moment we walked in with our 85 year old Birthday girl the attending party started to sing Happy Birthday. What amazed me upon looking around the entire Bar+ Grill was singing and I was so overwhelmed to see the owners and the staff all joined in what a special place. OMG we ordered French fries for our party of 24 and I have to say you serve the best tasting French fries in the tri- valley. They were so good we were asked to order a second round for our party. Our food orders were very quick and they were all prepared perfectly. The staff were all so polite and friendly and attentive to anyone's request. The ambiance inside was just perfect in every way and it showed on everyone's face having such a great time. We just found our new go to place in Downtown Pleasanton and will be seeing Sidetrack Bar+ Grill again very soon. Thanks again Todd and Erica, Dave Ricci

Sidetrack is great, but not excellent. And that's okay! First time tonight, in time for happy hour, service was prompt, food came out piping hot, and that's always a good sign! French fries weren't sitting out. We'd come back and try other goodies on the menu, too many great choices, also wish we had room for dessert. Clean, plenty of tables. Portobello sandwich needs some more fillers to give it some volume, everything smashed down to 1" thickness. Pesto and cheese were great in it. The side romaine salad was refreshing, love when I can taste the crunch of carrots and cucumber. The crab melt came with a ton of hot fresh French fries. So many, we didn't finish them! Will be back! Must. Save. Room. For. Dessert.

Side track has become our go to restaurant. The menu has varieties different pub type dishes. The wait people are very friendly. My fav dish is the jumbo shrimp crab louie salad. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful. The beer selection is good. Good local Place.

In town with family and they recommended Sidetrack. Even though Pleasanton had a concert in the park we were still able to find parking close by. Our waitress was great, we received water upon sitting. She came back fast and took our drink order and appetizer. Once the drinks were delivered she took our order. Food came out fast and hot. We started off with Spicy Tater Tots, definitely enough to share with 4 people. They were hot on delivery, a ton of them with a small container of catsup. They had a dry rub on them that had a slight kick. My wife order the special brisket street tacos (brisket, cilantro and onions on a corn tortilla) 4 in the order with spicy salsa and sliced limes. My wife said they were very good. I order the Pecos Chicken Salad (pretty much a southwest salad), romaine lettuce, grilled chicken with BBQ Sauce, avocado slices, black beans, tomatoes, corn, tortilla strips, cheese with spicy dressing. This was a good sized salad, great taste. I would order it again. My brother in law had the Brisket Sandwich said it had good flavor but dry. My sister had a chicken sandwich and she loved it. They have a full bar (wife loved her margarita), also a large craft beer selection. Plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio. 2 TV's over the bar showing games. Pub feel inside. Next time I'm in the area I would stop in.

We came to this restaurant 2x in two weeks. The first time was for my birthday, and we sat outside because they are dog friendly! It wasn't the warmest day, but they had outdoor heaters for us which is always a nice option. I was picked this place because we wanted a more casual place to celebrate now that I have a newborn. We noticed the smell of amazing BBQ and our server told us about their weekend specials and how they smoke the meat the day before. Definitely a teaser! On my birthday, everyone order sandwiches or burgers and no one was disappointed. I also want to shout out their sweet potato fries and ranch dressing. *chef kiss* Fast forward to this past Friday, we arrived around 6:30 only to be told that the burnt end sliders & ribs were sold out 10 minutes before we got there! *shucks* We ended up getting the brisket sandwich (not pictured) and asked for a side of BBQ sauce. It was really good, the meat was tender & you could taste the smoked flavor. We also ordered BBQ chicken wings, birria tacos, and a side of sweet potato fries. Everything was good again. We can't wait to try the sliders/ribs, and we will make sure we get there earlier next time! Oh, and I tried their strawberry guava sour in a can! It was so refreshing!!
